As we head back from the Batoka Gorges, taking a last glimpse at The Falls, we fly over the long island on the upper Zambezi towards the National Park, home to a wide variety of wildlife species. February to May sees the falls at their fullest and most dramatic, though heavy spray can occasionally reduce visibility. June to January brings lower water levels but clearer photos of the falls and gorge.
